We are seeking a highly skilled Software Architect to lead the design and implementation of web-based solutions leveraging Java, Angular, and SQLite technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting architectural direction, ensuring development quality, and working collaboratively within an Agile environment using Azure DevOps for CI/CD and project tracking.

You will play a critical role in shaping the technical vision and ensuring our Global Lab Software solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business goals.

Location: Omaha, NE Remote, with a requirement of Central or Eastern Time Zones. Candidates in the Mountain or Pacific Time Zones will not be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain scalable, secure, and robust web application architectures using Java, Angular, and SQLite.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs.
  • Lead and mentor development teams in the adoption of best practices and modern design patterns.
  • Evaluate current development standards and implement coding guidelines to ensure code quality and consistency.
  • Drive the implementation of Agile methodologies, contributing to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines and workflows within Azure DevOps, ensuring timely and reliable delivery of features and fixes.
  • Conduct code reviews, performance analysis, and architectural evaluations.
  • Remain current with emerging technologies and assess their applicability to our solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards in all design and implementation work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with minimum of 8 yrs of related experience with Bachelor's degree or 6 yrs and Masters, or PHD and 3 yrs.
  • Proven experience as a Software Architect in web application development.
  • Strong expertise in:
    1. Java (Spring Boot preferred)
    2. Angular (latest versions)
    3. SQLite or equivalent embedded databases
  • Experience with Azure DevOps tools and workflows (pipelines, repositories, boards).
  • Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum software development lifecycle.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to articulate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Prefer: Certifications in Agile methodologies or Azure cloud services.
  • Will require 5% travel as needed

Remote: US only roles

The anticipated base salary range in the United States is $131,000 to $170,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. CareDx is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
