*Job Description:* Our client is seeking a High Level Project Manager (LOCAL TO NASHVILLE,TN) to lead complex initiatives within our insurance systems division. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong foundation in project management methodologies, particularly within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). While this organization primarily operates in an Agile environment, this team leans more toward Waterfall methodologies, making adaptability essential. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of hands-on project management experience, a deep understanding of SDLC processes, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience leading technology driven projects and a PMP certification are highly preferred.
*Key Responsibilities:* * Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale projects within the insurance systems space. * Collaborate with business partners, technical teams, architects, and vendors to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. * Ensure adherence to project management standards, timelines, and budgets. * Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain strong communication with sponsors and cross-functional teams. * Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively. * Apply structured methodologies to support both Agile and Waterfall project environments. * Drive consensus and foster collaboration across business units and service divisions. Required Qualifications: * Minimum 5 years of true project management experience. * Strong understanding of SDLC and SDLC processes. * Proven ability to lead cross-functional and technical project teams. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Project and other project management tools. * Ability to work independently and lead change initiatives. Preferred Qualifications: * PMP or PMI certification. * Experience in technology or software development; ability to speak to technical concepts. * Experience with Oracle-based systems. * Familiarity with project management in large, matrixed organizations. * Knowledge of the finance or insurance industry. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
