Medical Assistant - Medical Oncology

Primary Shift: 8:00am-4:30pm; Secondary: 9:00am-6:30pm

Role Overview:

Support oncology clinic operations by assisting with patient care and administrative tasks. Work under the supervision of the Practice Coordinator and clinical staff to ensure efficient, high-quality service.

Key Duties:

• Room patients, collect data (vitals, history, meds), perform ECGs, assist with lab specimens
• Answer phones, greet patients, schedule appointments, maintain records
• Support prior authorizations, disability forms, and other documentation
• Maintain competency for oncology patient needs
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior MA or CA experience required
• Allied Health program graduate preferred
• AHA-BLS required within 6 months of hire (non-AHA accepted until renewal)
• EMR and practice management system experience
• Strong communication, multitasking, and computer skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize
• Willingness to complete CVPH education requirements
