The Quality Specialist at Husky Jeffersonville warehouse is responsible to ensure process and products meet the established standards and specifications, conduct physical parts inspection and provide disposition based on the results of inspection. The Quality Specialist will be responsible for driving the ANDON Clinic process for the Site Quality Clinic (physical clinic, process execution and coordination between cross functional stakeholders to drive Clinic results and complete the root cause analysis and corrective actions) for both Supplier and customer quality issues for spare parts as well as managing all request for parts containment and the quarantine inventory in the warehouse. In addition to this role as a quality specialist the person will also support the logistics organization and will be the liaison between Husky and 3PL to ensure smooth operations as well as expedite certain workflows between the Spare Parts Order Desks and the third-party logistics (3PL) facility.

Responsibilities:

  1. Random audits - to confirm that parts receiving quality including packaging and labelling of parts from suppliers, count errors from supplier. KIT packaging and labelling, Hose packaging etc..
  2. Engage SQE and Buyers - to ensure the Supplier First Aid and RCCA is completed, and non-conforming inventory is replaced by supplier.
  • Physical inspection of spare parts at different stages in the warehouse process - receiving, outbound and shipping, Stock containment etc.. , unpacking and repacking the parts post inspection is completed to avoid any damages during handling and storage of parts.
  • Receiving Quality Control at Jeffersonville -
  • Customer Quality - Manage all customer complaints / claims, Route customer complaints to ANDON Clinic as required, update VA call and SIF, Keep track - of the final claims list and Create the Non-Conformance One page report for all customer claims; Monitor & Report Spare parts DPMO (Defects per Million Opportunities).
  • Process Quality -
  1. Containment and disposition - support inventory containment by doing physical inspection of parts for sorting and segregation of OK and NOK parts (using visual and / or basic dimensional checks as needed) and disposition of parts after sorting (working with cross functional teams).
  2. Manage Quarantine and non-conforming inventory (WJE805) including sorting, segregation and disposition working closely with cross functional stakeholders in warehouse and supply chain teams; All customer returns shall be inspected and dispositioned within defined timelines.
    • ANDON Clinic Support specialist-
      • Kick-off Clinic (control what go in). ensure all relevant information is available for driving the clinic RCCA process.
      • Create the preliminary Fish bone diagram and identify probable Cause through Clinic meetings with Cross Functional teams (including Service / SQE / Dev Eng / CSM Eng team - as needed)
      • Drive execution of Clinic process with Speed & Effectiveness - Manage daily activities in the Clinic; Push appropriate actions to ensure execution of containment & PCA actions. Partner with all stakeholders (Lane Owner, Lane SME, others) and hold them accountable for timely Clinic tasks completion.
      • Monitor effectiveness & efficiency of Clinic activities actions. Manage continuous improvement of methods & standard to increase performance;
      • Manage Clinic performance KPIs, report out locally & work with other Clinic Doctors for global reporting
      • Prepare and / or review RCCA in G8D / 7 Step / A3 analysis formats.
      • Conduct Outbound Quality inspection and prepare inspection reports for customer specific requirement.
      • Quality Data Reporting & Analytics: Create, maintain, and manage reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to track quality metrics, KPIs, and performance trends. This includes supporting local development of quality dashboards and maintenance of data analytics and solutions.
      • Liaison between Husky and 3PL as a Single point of Contact at the 3PL warehouse, as and when required
        • Partner with 3PL , Husky Order Desk and Husky Service Regions - to ensure any immediate and urgent support to service a customer order is delivered
        • manage and prioritize outbound shipments and warehouse transfers to customers and multiple regions with a commitment to quality.
        • Help foster trusting relationships with business partners through prompt and effective communication with service providers, such as trucking companies, customs brokers, and air freight forwarders.
        • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Husky Machine and Mold technology and spare parts.

        QUALIFICATIONS

        • Engineering degree or equivalent preferred
        • Minimum 7 years Hands on experience of working in Process and / or supplier quality with relevant experience of Inspection of engineering parts using quality inspection equipment like vernier, Micrometer, Height gauge, Slip gauges etc
        • Ability to read and use data in Engineering drawings and test reports (material and dimensional inspection reports) is mandatory
        • User level understanding and experience of Quality methods, processes and tools (Root Cause Analysis, Fishbone, 8D...) is mandatory
        • Hands-on experience of using Problem Solving tools is required
        • Experience of Continual improvement, Quality circle and Six Sigma is added benefit
        • Some experience working in warehousing / logistics industry is added benefit
        • Understanding and experience of Aftermarket packaging is desired
        • Experience in data mining, analysis, and reporting - is added benefit
        • Familiarity with supply chain processes (e.g., inventory planning, warehouse management)
        • Solid to advanced technical skills and experience using MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Power BI, and Word)
        • Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
        • Able to stay calm and still operate effectively under pressure
        • Excellent communication skills
        • Outstanding organizational ability
        • Should be able to work with cross-functional team members across different regions and time zones including internal and external stakeholders and partners.
