Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estate/Fiduciary Accountant to join our team. This role involves applying fiduciary accounting principles to prepare and file complex federal and state income, estate, and gift tax returns. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in estate and trust accounting, tax planning, and compliance, along with a solid understanding of estate administration. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and file complex federal and state estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax returns in compliance with current regulations. Maintain and reconcile estate and trust accounting records, including tax information and financial reports. Support estate and gift tax planning strategies. Assist with estate administration tasks such as probate filings, asset collection, inventories, and beneficiary distributions. Respond to IRS and state tax agency inquiries and audits, ensuring timely and accurate communication and documentation. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of law and banking experience. Experience with ERP systems and tax software (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite preferred). Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax code. Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
