The Baker Hughes Internship is designed to enable students pursuing a Bachelors' or Masters' degree to gain hands-on work experience as the foundation of their professional lives. Our internships will give you first-hand insights into the processes, systems, and practices that are aligned to ensure customer needs are met through flawless execution and the application of leading-edge technology.

You'll participate in focused training, and team meetings, work on projects, and present your results. During your internship, you will be supported by a buddy and your manager who will ensure you have a valuable learning experience. You can expect to receive coaching and mentoring to enable you to complete assignments and projects to develop your learning and skillset.

You will also have the opportunity to become familiar with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) and culture of Baker Hughes. as well as our strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

The internship duration 5 months, startingSeptember 2025 - December 2025.

As an Intern, you will receive training in and be responsible for:

  • Complying withall Baker Hughes HSE, Quality, and Radiation Safety procedures and policies.
  • Performing radiation protection and HSE activities as required including gamma surveys, air monitoring, eye wash, safety shower, and spill kit inspections.
  • Preparing solutions, maintaining equipment, cleaning, processing parts, following all technical procedures/drawings, and performing manufacturing processes in the Plating Lab, among others.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be currently enrolled in a Bachelors' or Masters' level degreeinChemistry and have completed at least 2 full semesters of wet laboratory course work.
  • Have maintained a GPA grade greater than or equal to 3.0 out of 4.0 or the equivalent.
  • Be comfortable performing wet chemistry practices and working within a production lab.
  • Be fluent in oral and written English and have effective communication skills.
  • Applicant must be at least 18 years old.
  • Applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident.
  • Youwillberequiredto handle the following chemicals:
    • Uranyl Nitrate
    • Hydrofluoric Acid
    • Hydrochloric Acid
    • Perchloric Acid
    • Boric Acid
    • Sodium Hydroxide.

The position is part time depending on applicants availability. A minimum of 8 hours, weekly on site, is required and can be scheduled to accommodate course work and university breaks. The hourly rate range for this position is $22-$44.
