Our client is looking for an AV Support Engineer to join their team! This is a one-year contract for a full-time assignment, on-site in Los Gatos, CA. Some weekends and holidays are required, depending on broadcasting schedules. KEY QUALIFICATIONS: - Act as the primary technical support contact for AV systems, handling first-line troubleshooting across AV, IT, and consumer tech devices - Support live operations infrastructure including HDMI switchers, IPTV endpoints, multi-viewers, and a large-scale video wall system - Provide remote smart hands support for off-site engineering teams and assist with system health checks, hardware repairs, and preventative maintenance - Collaborate with engineering and broadcast teams on intercom systems, IP video distribution, and network services (DHCP, TCP/UDP, DNS). - Maintain and document system configurations and coordinate with third-party vendors on RMAs, warranty work, and integration support - Train operators, support mission-critical event workflows, and be available during off-hours or holidays to support major live events REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years AV support experience - Strong troubleshooting skills across SDI/IP video, Mac/Windows environments, and familiarity with broadcast workflows and tools (e.g., Riedel, TAG, SMPTE 2110, Lucidchart) The pay for this W-2 position is $65/hour. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
