What you'll do and what you'll bring:

Position Function:

The Residential Learning Coordinator - University Apartments is responsible for the overseeing the daily operations of a 500+ unit apartment community, including staff supervision, crisis management, residential learning experiences, and resident support. This role ensures efficient administrative processes, high-quality customer service, and collaboration with key university departments, while also contributing to marketing, recruitment, and on-call emergency response. This is a live-on position and there is typically a four-year limit of service as a Residential Learning Coordinator.

Leadership and Supervision:

* Oversee daily operations of a 500+ unit university apartment neighborhood.

* Select, train, advise, and supervise graduate and undergraduate staff, including Assistant Residential Learning Coordinators and student desk employees.

* Provide leadership and supervision or University Apartments Desk Operations.

* Lead or participate in departmental committees and on-call duty rotations. May be required to attend events and respond to emergencies after business hours, during weekends, and holidays as part of the on-call duty rotation and/or emergency/crisis response.

Crisis Management and Resident Support:

* Respond to emergencies and manage crises as part of an on-call duty rotation.

* Advise and support residents in adjusting to apartment living and managing household dynamics.

* Refer residents to appropriate university or community resources.

Administrative and Business Operations:

* Perform administrative tasks related to assignments, key control, requisitions, and reporting.

* Collaborate with the HRL business operations team to manage office processes and ensure effective service delivery.

* Maintain records and implement apartment office procedures. * Manage damage billing and appeals.

* Support the marketing team in creating and executing apartment marketing and recruitment strategies.

Facilities and Asset Management:

* Coordinate with maintenance and custodial staff for apartment turnover, repairs, and upkeep.

* Monitor facilities and grounds; recommend necessary repairs or improvements.

* Maintain regular health and safety checks of all apartment units.

Customer Service and Community Engagement:

* Ensure a high standard of customer service in apartment operations.

* Build community relationships and promote respectful, safe, and healthy living environments.

* Collaborate with other university departments and serve on Student Affairs committees.

Educational Programming and Student Development:

* Design and implement intentional learning experiences for apartment-style housing through the Residential Curriculum.

* Participate in residential learning program planning and assessment of student learning specific to University Apartment communities.

* Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution conferred by July 31, 2025.

Residence hall or apartment administration experience or related experience.

Must be available to begin work on July 1, 2025.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in discipline represented within student affairs administration, real estate management, or related field from an accredited institution.

One year full-time post-master's experience in housing or a related field, P3 management experience, student affairs experience, or other related experience preferred.
