Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and motivated NEPA Analyst to join our Alpharetta, GA office. This position involves managing planning and environmental projects, as well as supporting project teams led by other planning and environmental professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, timely, and cost-effective services for transportation and infrastructure projects.

    Manage environmental and planning projects, coordinating with planners, scientists, and cultural resource specialists (historians and archaeologists)
  • Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, staffing, and work plans
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Maintain and grow relationships with clients, including GDOT, NCDOT, and local municipalities
  • Lead marketing and business development efforts to secure new contracts
  • Provide quality control and oversight of planning and environmental deliverables
  • Prepare NEPA/GEPA documentation, including CEs, EAs, and EISs
  • Write supporting technical documents (e.g., Community Impact Assessments, Indirect and Cumulative Effects reports)
  • Conduct research, data collection, and field surveys to support environmental reviews
  • Develop and participate in public involvement activities, including public meetings, newsletters, and presentations
  • Facilitate or participate in Agency Coordination Meetings
  • Prepare proposals, scope of services, and cost estimates
  • Assist with monthly invoicing
  • Create presentations, public outreach materials, and meeting summaries
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, project partners, and clients


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Planning, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Natural Sciences, Archeology, History or Anthropology required.
  • Master's degree is desirable.
  • AICP or PE certification in Georgia strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning or environmental services
  • Demonstrated experience preparing NEPA/GEPA documents
  • Familiarity with the NEPA/Section 404 Merger Process
  • Experience managing projects and leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat; ArcGIS experience a plus
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid driver's license prior to employment
