- Create and implement a strategy for seeking out adjacent and new business opportunitiesby understanding and aligning to customer needs.
People Leader
- Manageateam ofindividualsresponsible to deliver the program to schedule, cost, quality and performanceparameters by organizing, coordinating and directing all activities for high complexity programs in conjunction with all required functional organizations.
- Define the strategy and objectives to successfully deliver the program, considering the company's strategic objectives, while complying with customer and contractual requirements.
- Manage projectscope andensure that changes are documented and approvedwithin the contractualscope and financial terms. Review Proposals, Contracts, and Modifications to ensure scope is consistent with final negotiations to balance program risk and maintain committed margins.
- Develop and implement a proactive risk management plan for assignedprograms. This process includes identifying resource gaps and mitigation planning/review of program risks both duringthe program planning phase and regularlyduring program execution, integrating the reporting of the program activities and operating program governance.
- Assures Integrated Project Team (IPT) resource identification and must be able to operate effectively within the environment, carrying out the program activities through the efforts of the matrixed team. Directly motivate and provide leadership for the broader program team.
- Ensure effective communication throughout the program team and with all internal andexternal stakeholders, leading planning efforts and resolving conflict across projects.
- Measure and improve program performance by conducting regular reviews of all program task estimates, challenging the team to develop and implement the most efficient methods for achieving the requirements and eliminating wasteful approaches.
- Outward focus on managing and maintaining superior customer relationships.
- Work within budgets to establish ROMs and firm pricing as necessary to support the above activities.
- Seek out opportunities to capture new and adjacent business with responsibilities to:
- Identify and qualify opportunities
- Capture strategy development
- Cross-functional team leadership
- Customer engagements to align on needs
- Complete competitive analysis
- Develop effective solution to meet customer needs
- Manager proposal and pricing strategies
- Conduct gate reviews and presentations
Qualifications Sought:
- Experience within the DoD and Defense industry; Air Defense experience strongly preferred.
- Must have experience in program management required leading teams throughout the proposal and program execution lifecycle
- Ideally will possess knowledge on the full lifecycle of capture efforts, including opportunity identification and qualification, RFP assessment, teaming and negotiationsand pricing and proposal development.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring staff; facilitate and mediate conflict and bring a global view to the Program Management Office
- Bachelor's degree inbusinessdiscipline preferred. (Will consider bachelor's degree with different discipline combined with years of experience.)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Exposure to Oracle Applications, Teamcenter,TIPQA
- Travel up to 25% - Internal and External Customer Engagements.
- Support program control in planning, budgeting and execution of program.

Additional Information / Desired Experience
- This position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)
- Able to bring continuous improvement processes and methodologies to the position. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills is required Works well in team and individually
- Must be able to work evening and/or weekend overtime as required.
