Sales Manager - West

Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to lead and coordinate the sales efforts in the assigned region, execute strategic initiatives, build strong client relationships, and ensure operational excellence to achieve sales growth and market expansion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record in sales, and the ability to cultivate meaningful client relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  1. Lead and manage a regional sales team comprised of both direct and indirect sellers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
  2. Implement strategic initiatives outlined by the Director of Sales while developing tailored regional sales plans that align with company goals.
  3. Oversee daily sales operations, ensuring efficient processes that drive achievement of key sales KPIs and regional revenue targets.
  4. Cultivate and strengthen direct relationships with key accounts including: architects, landscape architects, municipalities, and general contractors.
  5. Identify, target, and develop growth opportunities across all shelter and fabric market sectors.
  6. Collaborate with internal departments-including marketing, engineering, and customer success-to deliver best-in-class solutions and support.
  7. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to inform strategy and product positioning.

Education and/or Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, ideally within the construction, architecture, or steel fabrication industries.


Travel



  • This position requires up to 50% travel.


Computer Skills



  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI and Outlook).
  • Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP, Hubspot-CRM, quoting software or similar systems, preferred.


Other Skills



  • Strong understanding of the shelter and shade fabric market is preferred; or similar specified products experience.
  • Proven abilities to develop sales strategies and manage regional teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Results-oriented with strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
