The Sales Counselor manages, organizes and completes all necessary steps in the sales process in order to meet, or exceed, the sales goals set by the Director of Sales. As an integral part of the marketing team this position, helps to promote our community at planned events on and off campus, as well as completed duties necessary to implement our strategic marketing plan. Completes all necessary sales follow-throughs utilizing our CRM; works collaboratively with the Grand Oaks team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



Marketing and Sales



  1. Manages, organizes and completes sales and marketing duties to meet our community's sales and occupancy goals.
  2. Analyzes the market and creates a dynamic, successful Marketing Plan in coordination with the Director of Sales.
  3. Develops strategy for each prospect from initial inquiry through the final decision.
  4. Plans each customer interaction.
  5. Maintains a thorough working proficiency of Customer Relationship Management lead tracking database.
  6. Keeps contact records current on a computerized lead tracking system.
  7. Builds customer focused relationships by advancing the lead through the sales process and gaining customer commitment.
  8. Assists all team members in the community to understand that sales is everyone's responsibility.
  9. Conducts weekly strategy and advisory meetings with the Executive Director/Director of Sales



Driving Revenue



  1. Strives to meet or exceed targeted occupancy and sales.
  2. Leverages multiple revenue drivers (pricing, inventory, services, etc.) that drive the top line.



External Business Development



  1. Generates leads and move-ins from targeted referral sources.
  2. Identifies referral sources through site specific research.
  3. Responsible for planning weekly presentations/meetings with professional referral sources to grow referrals.
  4. Plans call objectives prior to external business meetings.
  5. Clearly articulates the benefits of referring to Grand Oaks with referral sources.
  6. Strategizes with Director of Sales on development of new referral source relationships to maintain competitive advantage in the marketplace.



Marketing Strategy



  1. Assists in the creation of Marketing Plan.
  2. Implements Marketing Plan.
  3. Conducts annual competitive market research ranking and analysis in partnership with Director of Sales.
  4. Understands competitive opportunities and threats and presents strategic alternative to combat these to the Director of Sales.
  5. Demonstrates a strong understanding of the senior care market and Grand Oaks' niche in that market, especially the local competitive environment.



Resident Move-In Process



  1. Reviews and facilitates the Move-In Packet with the resident and/or family.
  2. Facilitates and coordinates the Resident Assessment with Director of Nursing, Resident Service Director and/or Oasis RN Coordinator.
  3. Oversees and manages the move-in process as outlined in the Resident Move-In and the Suite Readiness Checklists.
  4. Ensures all Grand Oaks and state mandated paperwork and forms are completed on or before the move-in date by the family and/or resident.
  5. Overall oversight of the resident's administrative files to ensure fully prepared according to Grand Oaks and state specific regulatory requirements.



Financial Management



  1. Understands and manages the department budget to include labor and other expenses and its impact on the community's bottom line.
  2. Reviews monthly results and implements plans of action around deficiencies.
  3. Process and submit monthly expenses and budget data timely per Grand Oaks policies and internal business controls.
  4. Understands the internal cost associated with all Grand Oaks resident care programs.



Leadership & Development



  1. Develops a working knowledge of state regulations and ensures compliance.
  2. Attends regular meetings; Stand up, Sales Meetings, Town Hall, Quality Improvement, and others as directed by the Executive Director or Director of Sales.
  3. Keeps abreast of professional developments in the field by reading, attending conferences, and training sessions.

  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate small group presentations.

  • Ability to customarily and regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Demonstration of proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office & Grand Oaks applications with the ability to learn new applications.
  • Willingness to work independently with little to no day-to-day supervision.
  • As applicable, all Grand Oaks team members who drive a Grand Oaks vehicle must review and sign the Driver job description and understand the key essential duties for safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours, available for our customers at peak service delivery days and times

Salary Range: Minimum 24.60/hour - Maximum 40.61/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
