Overview

The Revenue Operations Representative will be responsible for the billing, collection, and reconciliation of premium and administrative revenue with a focus on customer centric servicing and process. They will reconcile and collect premium and administrative revenue from employers and members associated with delinquency and aging balances. The Revenue Operations Representative will be accountable for the administration of billing and reconciliation procedures on government program accounts such as Advance Premium Tax Credits, Child Health Plus, Medicaid and SHOP. They will support internal service centers on the resolution of employer, member or vendor inquires and indirectly servicing employers and vendors through the administrative processes and policies associated with billing and recovery. The position will require sensitivity to member, employer and provider relationships while maintaining recovery practices beneficial to Independent Health. Overtime and holiday work may be required to meet service standards.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) year of experience in receivables, collection, payables or a business-to-business account servicing type role required; health care and medical claims knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to make decisions consistently that effectively balances the administration of policy with rational, logical customer centric servicing.
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex systems, process and/or concepts.
  • Written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts required.
  • Proven accuracy, organization, and analytical skills; ability to prioritize tasks in an environment of diverse and shifting priorities.
  • Capacity to understand and manage regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays is required and a condition of employment.

Essential Accountabilities
  • Indirectly service employers, members, vendors and internal service centers through administrative processes and policies associated with billing and recovery including but not limited to generation and presentment of premium and administrative invoices, delinquent status, un-reconciled balances, account reinstatement and escalated billing requests or issues resolution; premium refunds and government programs account reconciliation; credit balance, claims paid after term and miscellaneous recovery explanations and reconciliation assistance.
  • Meeting or exceed production, accuracy and service level standards on all billing and reconciliation processes and systems in support of Independent Health products and services.
  • Post individual, paid as billed and line by line reconciliation payments against billed amounts, post recovery payments and update tracking logs within required timeframes and guidelines.
  • Participate in the management and processing of invoice generation and delinquency processes for all products and services across all systems supporting billing processes.
  • Research and review unpaid balances, delinquency reporting and non-payment cancellation reports for follow up through direct or written contact.
  • Process account cancellations for non-payment of premiums.
  • Split payments between company codes and group numbers on MHS and between receivable systems to ensure proper revenue recognition between lines of business and accurate account reconciliation.
  • Prepare deposit sheets for payments received in house.
  • Document and/or forward eligibility changes through appropriate process channels, identifying high priority, escalation requirements or potential policy issues.
  • Collaborate on the development and maintenance of benchmarking goals and metrics including service level, production levels and output quality.
  • Review and monitor key performance indicators and other data to effectively participate in and manage personal priorities in order to effect positive contribution to overall service outcomes and performance.
  • Assist in systems testing and data verifications when necessary.
  • Update Medicare EPIC dunning indicators and withhold system flags.

Hiring Compensation Range: $22.50 - $24.50 hourly

Compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience.

In addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
