This role builds and maintains relationships with Letterwinners to promote the University and the Athletic Department, responding to various Letterwinner requests, and develops, conducts, and promotes Letterwinner programs and services. This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel as needed. Duties & Responsibilities |
- Plan and execute several strategic letterwinner engagement events throughout the year for the Athletic Department.
- Plan and facilitate special events ranging from 20-1000+ guests sponsored by ICA (Wildcat Club, A-Club, and all other Departmental events). Includes formulating budgets, decorations, menus, volunteers, clean up, set-up, reservations, and communications. Events may be in Tucson or outside of Arizona to foster engagement with alumni across the country.
- Formulate bids, and work with outside vendors, such as hotels, printers, caterers, bands/entertainment.
- Connect letterwinners with strategic engagement opportunities across the Athletic Department. This includes working to create live and virtual career networking events to connect current student-athletes to letterwinners in the workplace.
- Assist in general community relations and heritage efforts for ICA (non-profit tables, etc.).
- Create and execute a comprehensive communication plan for the A-Club including, but not limited to, newsletter, social media, website, and various publications.
- Manage email communications through Eloqua email system.
- Maintain the following social media accounts: LinkedIn, Bear Down Network, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Create a plan to utilize these mediums to engage A-Club members and Wildcat Club members.
- Create engaging and exciting letterwinner content that highlights the successes of letterwinners. Examples include military service, career accomplishments, remembrance acknowledgments, and more.
- Responsible for database management including updating former student-athletes and participants contact information using Lynx and Paciolan ticketing system.
- Strategize methods to increase alumni engagement through digital and social media platforms.
- Manage and oversee records each fiscal year to include letterwinner awards and program participants on individual student-athlete records.
- Educate current Arizona student-athletes about the history and heritage of Arizona Athletics and the A-Club.
- Assist with the cultivation and stewardship of former student-athletes and participants (walk-on student-athletes, coaches, managers, cheerleaders, and mascots) who visit campus.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Three years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience developing alumni engagement programs.
- Experience with Constituent Relationship Management Software.
- Experience in a higher education setting.
- Experience in management positions.
- Experience as a letterwinner at a college or university.
