Regnier Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Job Description

The Program Manager plays a pivotal role in advancing the mission of the Regnier Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation by managing and supporting a variety of high-impact programs and events. This position is responsible for planning, executing, and promoting initiatives that introduce students to entrepreneurship, including Regnier's speaker series, competitions, mentoring programs, and experiential learning opportunities. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, creative, and collaborative professional with a passion for student engagement and entrepreneurial education. At the Regnier Institute, you'll be part of a dynamic team that empowers students to explore entrepreneurship and innovation. You'll have the opportunity to shape impactful programs, collaborate with inspiring professionals, and contribute to a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Responsibilities include:

  • Play a key role in planning, organizing, and coordinating events and activities such as:
    • Regnier Venture Creation Challenge (RVCC)
    • First Tuesdays Speaker Series
    • Side Hustle Challenge
    • Demo Day & Mentor Madness
    • Regnier Mentoring
  • Provide administrative support and operational leadership for the Bloch Consulting Lab. This includes recruiting student consultants and potential clients, managing administrative and on-boarding processes, and assessing client outcomes. This also includes providing training and mentoring to consulting teams in the Lab and providing oversight to consulting teams focused on accounting, financial management, and business plan development.
  • Support the Innovation Hub by providing guidance to student participants.
  • Support the marketing and promotion of the events, programs, and initiatives highlighted above by designing and producing promotional materials, maintaining website content, working to enhance Regnier's social media presence, and engaging in personal outreach to students via presentations to classes and student organizations.
  • Support efforts to build the Regnier Institute's network within Kansas City's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
  • Manage purchasing and procurement in compliance with university policies.
  • Assist faculty with reimbursements and liaise with administrative departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain organized records of transactions, communications, and event documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in marketing tools, social media platforms, and software and applications relevant for content creation
  • Experience working in higher education or with student programs
  • Experience working with entrepreneurial organizations and small businesses
  • Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for events
  • Undergraduate degree in business or accounting; an additional preference exists for a graduate degree in accounting, finance, or business
Anticipated Hiring Range

Up to $65,000 annually (commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity)
