Job Description

Position Summary:

Selected candidates for HR Coordinator will be expected to perform a variety of support functions which include but are not limited to recruitment, staffing, personnel records, employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, and payroll administration. Candidates preferred with some experience/familiarity with a variety of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Human Resources field. Candidates must have the ability and desire to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced production environment, be resourceful and innovative, present a strong business ethic and compliance to leadership and company policies, and be a good communicator with the ability to represent the company in a positive manner. Other responsibilities will include adherence to organization safety rules and regulations. Candidates rely on experience and judgment to perform the functions of the job and work under general supervision. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Reporting Relationships:

The HR Coordinator will report to the Director of Human Resources at the Permaswage Gardena location.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate the company's commitment to quality and safety
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping human resource information confidential
  • Complete California wage & hour audits on a consistent schedule
  • Complete PCC California wage & hour compliance sign-off on a quarterly basis
  • Submit background checks into system
  • Welcome new employees to the organization by leading orientation
  • Manage new hire onboarding/orientation process
  • Explain company policies and programs, gather required documentation, and administer required training with employees or job applicants
  • Maintain employee records in both electronic and paper format
  • Assist employees with general questions regarding benefits, payroll, timecards, and general HR topics
  • Maintain employee information by entering and updating employment status-change data
  • Perform administrative duties such as filing, copying, answering phone calls
  • Properly handle employee concerns/requests
  • Create reports from HR systems
  • Maintain compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or Export Administration Regulations including issuing badges, verifying documentation, and completing e-verify for all new employees
  • Other HR duties as assigned and needed

Required Experience and Level of Education:

  • Bachelor's degree Business, emphasis in Human Resources or related field and/or 2+ years in a Human Resources experience required

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $23.25 to $29.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 96 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency.
