Mechanical Claims Specialist - Job Description Are you an experienced automotive mechanic ready to transition from the shop floor to a dynamic office environment? We're seeking a Mechanical Claims Specialist to join our growing customer contact team, where your technical expertise will be used to evaluate and process mechanical claims.

Key Responsibilities * Claims Evaluation & Processing * Use your automotive knowledge to assess mechanical claims for accuracy and coverage. * Determine claim outcomes based on established guidelines and warranty terms. * Customer & Dealer Support * Communicate with vehicle owners and dealership service departments via phone and email. * Explain claim decisions clearly and professionally, whether approved, denied, or pending further steps. * Guide customers through the claims process, including how to obtain quotes and initiate repairs. * Documentation & Collaboration * Maintain detailed electronic records using internal claims systems. * Collaborate with team members and leadership to ensure consistent, high-quality service. * Uphold company values of fairness, integrity, and excellence in every interaction. *e*Call Types You'll Handle * Dealership Inquiries - Confirm whether specific repairs are covered under warranty. * Customer Questions - Clarify claim decisions and next steps. * Repair Guidance - Advise customers on how to proceed with vehicle issues and claims. *s*Required Skills & Qualifications * Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as an automotive mechanic or in a related technical role. * Strong understanding of vehicle systems and repair processes. * Ability to communicate complex mechanical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences. * Proven customer service experience, especially in resolving complex or sensitive issues. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, etc.) and ability to navigate multiple systems while on calls. * High school diploma or GED required. * ASE certification is a plus. * Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are encouraged to apply. Additional Considerations * Must be available to travel for a 2-week onboarding training at one of our designated office locations. * Occasional Saturday shifts may be required. * A high-speed internet connection and quiet home workspace are necessary for remote or hybrid work arrangements. * Familiarity with labor guides (e.g., AllData) and scan tools is a plus, but not required. Interview Topics May Include * Your mechanical background and specific repair experience. * Challenging projects you've worked on. * Examples of customer service interactions, including conflict resolution. * Experience with diagnostic tools and labor guides. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
