About The Role:

As an Environmental Field Technician, you will perform routine field sampling, site inspections, soil classifications and environmental assessments under the supervision of senior team members. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in environmental and geotechnical services while supporting meaningful infrastructure and regulatory projects.



  • Field Investigations & Sampling: Assist in boring layouts, collecting and classifying soil samples, collecting groundwater, surface water, and sediment samples; support stream classifications, wetland delineations, and flora/fauna identification.
  • Data Reporting: Record and report findings from environmental assessments and geotechnical explorations under the direction of experienced staff.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, scientists, and engineers to support data collection, field documentation, and reporting efforts.
  • Equipment Care: Maintain field sampling equipment, perform basic calibrations, and ensure cleanliness and readiness for field use.
  • Travel Support: Participate in out-of-town field assignments and assist with day-to-day project execution both in the field and office.



About You:



  • You have a High School diploma or GED.
  • You have 0-2 years of relevant environmental and/or geotechnical field experience.
  • You have completed, or have the ability to complete, the OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English.



You Are Willing and Able to:

Perform the physical demands of the position with the use of company-provided Personal Protective Equipment such as:



  • Working outdoors the majority of the time in varying weather conditions
  • Walking over rough and uneven terrain
  • Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50 lbs. of samples and field/lab equipment
  • Traveling out-of-town (typically overnight) for assignments as necessary
  • Working outside normal business hours when required
