About The Role:

As an Archaeological Field Technician, you will support cultural resource management projects by conducting field and laboratory work under the supervision of senior archaeologists. Your responsibilities will include shovel testing, test unit excavation, artifact collection and processing, and background research. This is a temporary, project-based role with fieldwork conducted across various Southeastern states, including Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. Start dates are dependent on project schedules and completion of onboarding requirements.

• Assist with field excavation, artifact collection, and laboratory processing.
• Conduct background research and maintain accurate documentation.
• Travel to project sites and work outdoors in varying conditions.

About You:

• You have a High school diploma or GED
• You have a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, History, or a closely related field
• You have completed an archaeological field school
• You have experience with Section 106 compliance-level archaeological work from a similar consulting firm, a plus
• You have prior fieldwork experience in the Southeastern U.S.

You Are Willing and Able to:

Perform the physical demands of the position with the use of company-provided Personal Protective Equipment such as:

• Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Walking over rough, uneven terrain and potentially up to 3+ miles a day
• Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs (field gear and a backpack)
• Travel and work on temporary assignments as needed
