The challenge

Join an agile, ambitious software development team to build new microservice solutions within the Adobe Analytics platform. You will architect, develop, and release new services to power Adobe's Experience Cloud, delivering solutions at scale in a big data cloud platform. This software engineer will participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle, including the architecture, design, development, and maintenance of industry-leading products.

What you'll do

  • Craft and develop microservice solutions at scale in a big data cloud platform.

  • Solve complex business and technical problems involving large-scale data aggregation, workflow, and reporting. Research and exercise proficiency with new technologies.

  • Gain a solid understanding of the Adobe Analytics platform workflows and drive solutions that span across one or more cross-functional Engineering teams.

  • Develop product improvements and features with a strong focus on effective customer engagement and happiness.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine requirements and develop solutions that meet the needs of customers.

  • Ensure the flawless implementation of software by performing code reviews and participating in testing activities.

  • Collaborate with AI and platform teams to ensure backend services are optimized for consumption by AI agents, operators, and MCP workflows.

  • Continuously evaluate emerging AI/ML and automation trends and apply when appropriate.

What you need to succeed

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent field, and at least 1 year of experience developing software.

  • Solid object-oriented programming background, preferably in Java.

  • Database programming knowledge, including SQL and MongoDB.

  • Experience building and scaling RESTful web services.

  • Experience with building and deploying backend service platforms.

  • Experience with Cloud technologies and services such as AWS and Azure is a plus.

  • Curiosity and self-motivation to learn, adapt, and grow with evolving software development practices and AI capabilities.

  • Must be diligent, self-motivated, responsive, professional, and dedicated to customer success.

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to projects of varying complexity, including integration with other products and systems to identify areas of new feature development.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient at solving complex problems and collaborating successfully with others.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $113,400 -- $206,300 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
