Overview

Deutsche Bank is seeking an individual to join the eDiscovery Services team.The team is responsible for the Bank's data retrieval, retention, and transfer of electronically stored information to internal requestors and external third parties to meet legal, compliance and regulatory requirements.

The role involves managing preservation activities, including quality controls, troubleshooting technical issues, keeping abreast of best practices and new eDiscovery tools, etc. The role requires a high level of integrity to ensure the preservations are right first time, every time. You will also be able to demonstrate a high level of discipline, making sure processes are followed in a consistent manner.

Skills You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree that is IT-related or with a legal-focus (essential). Master's degree is preferred. eDiscovery subject matter expert and eDiscovery work experience with a company, law firm, professional service provider.
  • Experience in client relationship management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to positively influence and motivate stakeholders and team members through robust dialogue, facilitation, and persuasiveness. Ability to engage across a range of backgrounds and levels of seniority with the ability to translate technical terms into language that non-technical persons can understand. (essential)
  • Exhibit exceptional leadership qualities by setting a clear vision, motivating teams, and leading by an example. Demonstrate unwavering commitment to the organization's mission, values, and global objectives. (essential)
  • Extensive experience in executive leadership, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in a similar capacity. (essential). SQL, BigQuery, Programming and/or scripting experience is a plus
  • Detail oriented, analytical mindset, and strong organizational skills. Proven experience with identifying opportunities for automation or simplification of repetitive tasks. (essential)

What You'll Do

  • Effective communication with stakeholders within and outside their own area of expertise, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational objectives. Putting the client first, act as primary point of contact and liaison for preservation requests between the legal team, eDiscovery group, technical staff, business staff and vendors to ensure proper communication between all parties.
  • Demonstrating your disciplined approach, you will be responsible for the data preservation (or collection) requests raised to the eDiscovery team. Ensure that defined preservation processes are adhered to, making improvement recommendations where appropriate.
  • Safeguard the preservation process by ensuring the teams are properly trained on the standard processes and procedures, ensuring consistency of process and workflow execution across teams.
  • Lead and manage the execution of processes, projects, and tactics. Responsible for adjusting or recommended enhancements in systems and processes to solve complex problems or improve productivity.
  • Manage the work of a team consisting of junior and experienced staff who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments, by providing guidance and support to drive at high-performing levels.
  • Proactively identify operational challenges and bottlenecks, define strategies to mitigate issues promptly while managing clear and concise communications and organizational escalation. This will require the candidate to be hands-on and learn our processes.
  • Produce executive level reports with actionable insights, highlighting key performance metrics, and trends.
  • Drive compliance with operational standards and best practices, ensuring adherence to industry regulations. Maintain impeccable record keeping with an emphasis on accuracy and compliance with established procedures and adhere to controls for handling of strictly confidential data.
  • Develop and present trending reports that track performance overtime, allowing for data-driven decision-making. Propose and implement solutions based on data-driven matrices and analysis, continuously improving operational processes.
