The Opportunity:American Girl Security Officer is committed to safeguarding the assets of our brand through the education and training of associates, implementation of effective policies and the leveraging of existing and new technology. The Asset Protection Associateposition maintains a high level of compassion and understanding while maintaining a professional detachment in order to protect the company's assets. The ideal candidate has the skill set to handledifficult customers in a manner that does not escalate a situation.

What Your Impact Will Be:
* Ensures the safety of all American Girl guests and employees at all times.
* Protects company assets by being alert and identifying suspicious internal or external customer activities.
* Provides customer service in a positive, friendly and professional business atmosphere.
* Demonstrates an awareness and understanding of all company, store and department policies and procedures. Additionally, coach and advise Asset Protection Associates of the expectation of their responsibilities.
* Able to multi task.
* Maintainsthe safety and security of the campus in our Distribution Center in DeForest.
* Administerssecurity systems - LP Software, Guardtrax, DisasterAWARE, CCURE 9000 to name a few.
* Develops, implements and trains on new safety and security policy.
* Provides training and continuing education for Officers.
What We're Looking For:
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Computer proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
* Previous experience as a front-line customer service associate and/or security officer is a plus
* American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers certification, or equivalent by an accredited training program, within 30 days of hire is required. This can be provided by American Girl if necessary.
* Ability & willingness to work at any WI American Girl Location
* Minimum of 0-2 years related experience
* High school degree or equivalent, preferred
* Healthcare background a plus.
* Standard Requirements for American Girl Drivers:
- Have a valid driver's license and/or occupational license.
- Have not had two or more at-fault accidents in the last three years.
- Have not had one Type A violation in the last three years.
- Have not had any combinations of accidents and Type B violations totaling three or more in the last three years.
