It Infrastructure Team Lead

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess the existing IT infrastructure across all sites and provide actionable recommendations for solutions to enhance performance, security, and scalability.
• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust IT systems, including firewalls, switches, servers (Hyper-V and VMware), 365 tenants, active directory, and security frameworks, in alignment with corporate IT guidelines.
• Actively troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in collaboration with the team.
• Develop and execute infrastructure strategies with a cloud-first approach while maintaining and optimizing on-premises systems to ensure scalability, security, and efficiency.
• Mentor and guide team members and consultants, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
• Document processes and progress while maintaining a hands-on approach to implementation and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with corporate IT to ensure compliance with organizational standards and strategic objectives.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience managing IT infrastructure, with expertise in firewalls, switches, VLAN's, Hyper-V, VMware, Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, and security best practices.
• Strong understanding of both cloud-first architecture and on-premises infrastructure management.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
• Experience working with teams, including external consultants, with the ability to provide guidance and foster collaboration.
• Highly self-motivated and independent, with a proven ability to take initiative and deliver results with minimal guidance.
• Hands-on approach, willing to dive into technical tasks and lead by example.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with corporate IT directives.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with multi-site IT infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with industry standard security protocols and compliance requirements.
• Prior experience coordinating with consultants or cross-functional teams.
