Credence has an immediate need for an Instructional Media Designer that will develop various mediums of courseware to support the AFSOC flying mission.

This position is based at Hurlburt Fields, FL.



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below

    Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Instructional Designers (ID) to establish priorities and identify student training needs prior to graphic art production.
  • Design and develop a wide range of media and use graphic design software to create visual concepts that enhance learning through the development and modification of animations, graphics, video, emulators, and virtual reality.
  • Program animations and interactive content using HTML5 and JavaScript to support ADDIE-based courseware development.
  • Partner with ID's, SMEs, and programmers in the creation of Virtual Reality (VR) content development.
  • Apply artistic principles to visual elements to allow engaging delivery of instructional content that supports quizzes, end of course exams, and meaningful course interactions.
  • Develop presentation techniques to address instructional and interactive needs required to teach students within the VR environment, incorporating adult learning principles.
  • Observe user interactions within the VR environment and suggest and develop alternate approaches to benefit the user experience during formative evaluation processes.


Education, Requirements and Qualifications

  • Ability to maintain/obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Digital Media, Visual Communications, or related field preferred. Experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Flash, Adobe Captivate, Unity Pro, Substance Designer, and Substance Painter, Otoy Octane Render/3ds Max, Headus UVLayout, and HTML5.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of JavaScript programming for interactive content development.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience with VR content development and understanding of immersive learning environments.
  • Ability to incorporate interactive courseware (ICW) components of Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) into training products.
  • Knowledge and understanding of copyright and reproduction restrictions.
  • Experience with photography and videography techniques for educational content.


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Employee will occasionally be required to transport large amounts of camera gear to flightline worksites.
  • Work will include long periods of standing, walking, and climbing on assigned airframes.
