The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running, must take a hands-on approach to their work, be flexible in their duties, and be a proven self-starter.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Directly Support Customer implementation of S1000D and/or Solutions
  • Instructing S1000D Specification
  • Provide guidance to software engineers in developing solutions with internal tools
  • Analyze conversion project content requirements to determine best automated solutions
  • Support Technical Sales efforts through level-of-effort estimations
  • Represent DTB at industry and customer related forums
  • Participate in industry standards activities as required


Required Qualifications:



  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Knowledge of S1000D specification, Issues 2.1 through 5.0
  • Common Source database use
  • Full understanding of military and commercial specifications and standards for Technical Data Development
  • Markup and related technologies (SGML, FOSI, XML, XSL, XSLT, XSL-FO, X-Path, X-Link
  • 3D software and MBD/MBE
  • Project Management
  • Logistics Activities
  • Publishing tools and services (e.g. Arbortext Editor and Publisher, Antenna House Formatter, etc.)
  • Content Management and Publishing workflow processes.
  • Desired Experience:
  • Working knowledge of Technical Documentation Development, Graphics/Text
  • Knowledge of S1000D tools.
  • Knowledge of Frame, Structured and unstructured
