Inova Blood Donor Services is looking for a dedicated Donor Operations Trainer to join the team located at 45745 Nokes Blvd #160, Sterling, VA 20166: This role will be Full Time: Days/Evenings shift, Days will vary | Hours will vary

Donor Operations Trainer Job Responsibilities:



  • Accompanies Donor Specialists to mobile drives when training in the field.
  • Provides instruction on proper segmenting techniques and placing of the rubber band on the unit to hold satellite bags.
  • Audits performance of Donor Specialists in the donor centers and on blood drives every month.
  • Remains with the trainee in the phlebotomy area until the trainee can function independently.
  • Provides instruction on the proper placement of units in coolers and the use of proper coolants for shipment back to components.
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Requirements:



  • Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Years of Experience: 2 years of experience in donor screening and phlebotomy
  • Certification: BLS required through AHA
