David Evans and Associates (DEA) is hiring an Associate Recruiter to join our collaborative and fast-paced Corporate Recruiting team. This is a hands-on role where you'll gain exposure to the full recruiting lifecycle while supporting our Transportation Business Unit (TBU), the largest group within the firm.

Whether you're drafting job postings, screening candidates, or helping improve how we source talent, your work will help shape how DEA finds and hires the people who build critical infrastructure across the country.

What You'll Do Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft and post accurate, compelling job descriptions that reflect team needs and appeal to technical talent
  • Screen resumes and manage candidate flow by reviewing applications and updating statuses in the ATS (Taleo)
  • Conduct recruiter phone screens and participate in early-stage interviews
  • Schedule interviews and perform reference checks, ensuring a seamless experience for both candidates and hiring teams
  • Perform passive candidate searches and help build talent pipelines for future hiring needs
  • Maintain candidate data and recruiting reports in our applicant tracking system (Taleo)
  • Support metrics reporting to track sourcing effectiveness, time-to-fill, and process improvements
What You Bring Required Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of recruiting or related administrative experience, preferably in a fast-paced or professional services environment, preferably within the AEC industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a natural ability to build rapport quickly
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams
  • Experience with recruiting platforms such as Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter and Handshake is highly valued
  • Curiosity about the civil engineering industry and a desire to learn about Transportation Business Unit hiring needs
  • Creative thinking and foundational analytical skills, comfortable using data to spot trends or surface insights

* The posted salary range represents the typical range for this position and is provided in accordance with applicable state and local transparency laws. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
