Job Description

Position Description:


The Lead Actuarial and Risk Analyst is responsible for leading some aspects of analytical support for actuarial financial and risk reporting, modeling and analysis, experience analysis, pricing/ product development or product management. Provides analysis and resolves complex problems / issues on a timely basis, completely, and accurately. This is a position on the Group Reporting Team, whose primary goal is to improve business decisions and customer experience by enhancing access to consistent, quality data.

Position Location:



  • This is a hybrid role working partially in-office and partially from home.



What you do:



  • Create advanced data outputs in Power BI
  • Teach Power BI to business users of all levels
  • Access, retrieve and analyze data from multiple systems
  • Prepare and analyze materials and communicate appropriately to internal and external customers
  • Define and perform operational processes on a timely basis, completely, and accurately and present new process enhancements
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with appropriate standards
  • Develop and perform calculations using complex and less defined processes or adapting new processes
  • Make independent decisions as a Group Data SME on small to medium cross-functional projects
  • Solve complex problems through creative thinking where the root issue is not readily apparent: Understand why things are connected to each other
  • Ability to anticipate potential problems



What you bring:



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field required
  • Expertise with Power BI
  • Experience leading teams and/or projects
  • 3-5 years related experience required
  • Intermediate knowledge of extracting data via SQL
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required
  • Extensive knowledge of Group Data
  • Experience working with data in Relational Databases

About this Position's Pay
The pay range posted reflects a nationwide minimum to maximum covering all potential locations where the position may be filled. The final determination on pay for any position will be based on multiple factors including role, career level, work location, skill set, and candidate level of experience to ensure pay equity within the organization. This position will be eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits package (see above for details). This position will be eligible to participate in our Short-Term Incentive Plan with the annual target defined by the plan.
