Job Summary:

Ensures accurate work records are maintained to meet Company standards and state and federal regulations. Assists in planning, scheduling and implementing technical training programs.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for planning, scheduling, communicating and coordinating the delivery of individual and/or group training.
  • Responsible for identifying training requirements for individual employees, based on job functions.
  • Offers evaluation and assessment tools for course attendees and provides feedback to Management on needs of individuals as identified via training sessions.
  • Participates in the sourcing, selection, and evaluation of contracted instructors and consultants, as appropriate. Manages the relationship with third-party training vendors at the discretion of the Technical Training Manager. Monitors individuals' training records to ensure timely completion.
  • Identifies training items that need to be completed and works to resolve training and/or documentation needs. Provides input and assists in the planning, assessment, and implementation of organizational goals and objectives, in line with overall company standards and procedures. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Has a working knowledge of database programs as well as Microsoft Office and records maintenance skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Pays close attention to detail with focus on customer service. Must be comfortable with a high level of personal accountability for quality. Demonstrates ability to self-manage and think through process steps. Is patient, friendly, and courteous.



Education:

Bachelor's degree required

Will consider relevant job-related CenterPoint Energy experience for non-degree candidates

Experience:

Requires a minimum of three years of related experience performing clerical and/or administrative duties, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and email software. Demonstrated knowledge of SAP and other related programs preferred. Working knowledge of the SharePoint systems is desirable
