Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrols Government in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the assigned area, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and maintain proficiency with a firearm as part of your daily duties. You will interact with visitors, staff, and the public, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. What You'll Do:

    Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited items.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards according to site protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents and/or emergencies.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and the public.

  • Availability across various days and shifts
  • Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
  • A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

*Must have (No Exceptions):

  • Active driver's license
  • Valid Florida Security License D License and G License
  • Fluent, English, and Spanish, required

and at least ONE of the following:

  • U.S. Military Service (DD214 Honorable Discharge); or
  • Police/Corrections Academy Certification (U.S. only with Certificate); or
  • Associate's Degree (60 College Credits on Official Transcripts)
