Position Summary

Odyssey is seeking an Associate Security Director/Corporate Facility Security Officer (FSO) for our corporate office in Wakefield, MA. The Security Director/FSO is responsible for implementing the industrial security program and ensuring company and customer security requirements are met, for field office locations, and employees around the globe. The successful candidate will interface with all levels of Odyssey personnel and Government management and security personnel to ensure contract security compliance with National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), 32 CFR Part 117, DOD 5205.07, Contract Security Classification Specification (DD254) and Program Classification Guides. The Associate Director of Security must be able to advise company's Security and Information Protection Executive Director on strategic security topics and implement security initiatives across the company by interpreting company and Government security policies.



Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

    Lead the Security Department in all matters necessary to ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program to include the administrative details of the program.
  • Develop, implement, and communicate security policies, procedures, and practices designed to protect classified and proprietary information, property, employees, and visitors.
  • Personnel Security: Conduct new hire onboarding in DISS, briefings, clearance investigation request and processing, and foreign travel reporting/briefings.
  • Provide recommendations for new award transition plans, security proposal volume management for onboarding employees, as well as offboarding upon contract completion.
  • Initiate/take fingerprints and process through SWFT for initial and upgraded security clearances.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain all required facilities and personnel security documentation and paperwork.
  • Security Education: Develop educational materials and provide ongoing security education to the organization annually and refresher training as required.
  • Coordinate with Odyssey's Executives, Senior Management, and Program Managers as issues and risk areas arise with Government customers.
  • Visitor Control: Process incoming/outgoing visit requests, clearance transfers, and related actions, to include request for foreign visits (RFV) with DCSA International.
  • Assist with Self-Inspections and lead the preparation for annual DCSA Security Assessments.
  • Review Prime DD-254s issued by the US Government customer or Prime Contractors, to ensure accuracy and security requirements and assist with the preparation of all DD-254s issued to subcontractors.
  • Travel to field office locations for meetings, presentations, and training activities.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Clearance: Top Secret with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Years' experience: At least seven (7) years of experience in Industrial Security, no less than five (5) years of experience as an AFSO or FSO. At least five (5) years of direct personnel supervision/ management

  • In-Depth Knowledge of the NISPOM
  • Working knowledge of government databases, i.e., NBIS, DISS, eQIP, NISS, SWFT.
  • Experience in SAP/SAR management
  • Experience with accreditation and operation of Closed Area environments including guard operations and UL-2050 compliance.
  • Experience with GSA safe procurement and safeguarding requirements
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.

  • Strong people manager with ability to manage a geographically dispersed team

Preferred Qualifications:

Clearance: Active TS/SCI
