Salary Range: **$160,000- $205,000

** Starting salary is based on minimum education and years of experience and increases based on education and/or experience.

Join our elite team developing and supporting High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) systems critical to safeguarding secure communications across the Department of Defense. Whether you're an experienced SE2 ready to take on more leadership or a seasoned SE3 looking to drive strategic engineering efforts, this role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact programs that directly support national security.

Security Clearance Requirements:

This position requires all candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph.



Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

    • Architect & Design: Develop system architectures using DoDAF and SOA frameworks. Generate alternative system concepts and physical architectures.

    • Requirements Engineering: Manage and derive system requirements, ensuring compatibility and traceability across hardware, software, and personnel components.

    • Documentation & Planning: Contribute to System Engineering Plans, Interface Control Documents, and Requirements Specifications.

    • Integration & Verification: Define verification methods, coordinate system integration, and ensure compliance with rigorous standards.

    • Risk & Configuration Management: Assess risks, manage system baselines, and support Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities.

    • Security Engineering: Develop requirements for Information Assurance (IA) services and mechanisms including cryptography, access control, and key management.

    • Lifecycle Support: Guide systems from concept through deployment and sustainment, ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Advanced Capabilities (Level 3)
    • Lead trade studies and Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) to optimize system performance and cost.

    • Apply validated models and simulations to reduce development risk.

    • Serve as a technical authority in CCBs and integration efforts.

    • Recommend standards and enforce interoperability across evolving technologies.

    • Monitor risks using earned value management (EVM) and develop mitigation strategies.



Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Systems Engineer Level 2
    • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
    • Fourteen (14) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Systems Engineer Level 3
    • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
    • Twenty (20) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.

Desired Skills

  • Hands-on experience with HAIPE devices: operating, configuring, keying, testing, specifying, and maintaining

  • Systems Engineering experience in large-scale DoD programs
  • Familiarity with DoDAF frameworks and secure network design principles
  • Experience with High Assurance Certification and secure operations
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
