Hardware Responsibilities
Responsible for the hardware design and development activities associated with high volume electronic products associated with the Smart Meter industry. * Develop hardware from concept to production launch including design documentation, participating in design reviews, coding, code reviews, unit testing and unit test reviews. * Develop and implement strategy to validate resulting systems against requirements. Thus, the hardware design and development responsibilities include the development and implementation of design verification test procedures. * Document and resolve defects. * Develop hardware and software test tools as needed. * Ensure the overall quality of the hardware incorporated in the system, its performance against requirements, and it's on schedule delivery. * Ensure designs are to exceed requirements of governing agencies (i.e., FCC and UL) and must be capable of listing with these agencies where applicable. * Work in a team environment and work with others to achieve the best possible end-product from all functional viewpoints. * Capture and direct corrective actions in response to field complaints and supply issues. Expectations: The intern will be expected to work full-time at 40 hours/week and will be compensated on an hourly basis.
