Job Overview:
The Application Analyst III is primarily responsible for supporting the design and build of the designated application, overseeing the development of workflows, system configurations, change documentation, and operational support. They work independently with minimal supervision, serving as a knowledge resource for Application Analysts I and II. This role includes the installation, upgrades, and configuration of the application, as well as assisting in the coordination of customer support activities.
The Application Analyst III is also tasked with creating and executing test scripts, documenting all test outcomes, and applying advanced troubleshooting skills to support implementation, upgrade, and maintenance initiatives. They address customer or build issues, recommend mitigation plans, and escalate more complex problems beyond their expertise when necessary. Additionally, they provide on-call support for the application during go-live and throughout the ongoing maintenance period, ensuring consistent and reliable system performance.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Associate s degree with four or more years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrated ability to support and develop the application and mentor others
- Previous experience working with specified customer base
- Ability to handle moderate complexity of work with minimal supervision
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
- Preferred 5+ years prior system build experience

Responsibilities:
- Executing Application Design and Build
- Designing and building the related application
- Coordinate sign of the application s capabilities and workflows
- Utilizes external resources for best practice builds and solutions
- Performing a thorough review of all Foundation Build and operational requested content and workflows for application
- Investigates, documents, and evaluates current state workflows as it pertains to build and offers technology solutions for workflow enhancements in collaboration with analyst peers, training staff and other stakeholders
- Building data fields, screens, templates, and customer-defined functionality, as required
- Collaborates with the training team and others to ensure alignment between the proposed training curriculum and the system build
- Oversees and/or performs analysis of necessary application modifications
- Following build standards and maintaining synchronization between environments in collaboration with environment team
- Works with minimal supervision
- Acts as a resource for Application Analyst I and II
- Assists with development of Change Readiness demos and documentation
- Providing go-live support for customers on new applications, including functionality
- Providing on-call support for application through go-live and post go-live
- Representing application in Integrated Area Workgroups
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter
- Works with customers, informatics on enhancement request requirements
- Supporting continuous documentation of system modifications and updates
- Handles complex issues
- Takes initiative to problem solve within job scope
- Shares knowledge functions as a preceptor for staff
- Validates work performed by newly certified or new work by level 1 and 2 Analysts
- Keeps knowledge of industry trends, application enhancement and future impact to enterprise
- Maintaining continued ticket communication with customers ongoing and with closing incident, catalog and enhancement tickets Must include details in ticket resolution/closing
- Contacting the customer regarding ticket resolution if resolved or unable to fill request
- Logging decisions and issues/risks in trackers during build/projects
- Supporting application governance needs, including development of business case for decisions
- Maintaining version control of workflows, issues/risks log, and decisions tracker
- Supervising basic issues and roadblocks, escalating issues as needed
- Communicating with supervisors to determine necessary escalations
- Presents oral and written communication to project team
- Excellent presentation skills
- Recommending areas for process improvement
- Develops future state materials
- Project manages smaller to medium scale builds
- Following the process for identification, tracking, resolution, and closure of all issues
- Ensures that the team follows change control processes according to policy
- Collaborates with team members across the department as well as operational staff
- Develops test scripts and new systems, complying with version upgrades and system modifications
