Could you be the CMS Wayside Trainer we're looking for?

Your future role
As a CMS Wayside Trainer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs that enhance the skills and competencies of maintenance and operations personnel. You'll play a key role in supporting the Construction Management Services (CMS) project by implementing safety plans, managing training records, and ensuring that all team members and contractors are equipped with the knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.

We'll look to you for:



  • Designing and conducting technical training programs for maintenance and contracted employees.
  • Creating and maintaining a shared training database and procedures.
  • Supporting the implementation of the CMS Safety Plan.
  • Identifying skill gaps and recommending targeted training or reassignment.
  • Conducting skills evaluations to confirm competency expectations.
  • Ensuring all training materials, tools, and guides are available and accounted for.
  • Providing job-related guidance and support to employees.
  • Collaborating with customers to demonstrate training approaches and techniques.
  • Promoting continuous improvement and best practices in technical training.
  • Supporting cross-training initiatives and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Delivering familiarization and awareness training for support personnel as needed.



All about you

  • Strong background in technical training and mentoring within a production or maintenance environment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and familiarity with manufacturing tools.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in developing and implementing training strategies.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and addressing training needs.
  • Ability to engage trainees and maintain enthusiasm throughout sessions.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance in all training activities.



Education:



  • Minimum Associate's Degree, preferably in a technical field.



Experience:



  • At least 5 years of production experience, including mentoring, training, and some supervisory responsibilities.
