As a Software Engineer on the SRE team, you'll work at the intersection of software engineering, DevOps, and reliability. You'll design, build, and operate full stack systems in Python, and drive LLM (Large Language Model) integrations to power AI-driven features. Job Responsibilities:
Full Stack Development: Build and maintain backend and frontend systems for AI-powered platforms using Python and modern frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, Django, React, or similar). LLM Integration: Design and implement integrations with LLM providers (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or custom models) to enable intelligent features like chat, summarization, or natural language processing. DevOps & SRE Practices: Contribute to the reliability and performance of production systems by developing automated deployment pipelines, monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions. Infrastructure Automation: Work with CI/CD workflows, automate testing and releases, and support Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices to ensure smooth operations. Incident Support: Participate in on-call rotations with the SRE team, respond to incidents, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to root cause analysis. Collaboration: Partner with platform, AI/ML, product, and operations teams to define requirements, ship features, and improve system health. Documentation: Write and maintain technical documentation, including runbooks and knowledge base articles. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with best practices in software engineering, DevOps, SRE, and AI/LLM integrations. Suggest and drive improvements across the tech stack.
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or Engineering (Required) 3+ years of software engineering experience, with hands-on development of full stack applications (backend and frontend). Proficient in Python (API/service development) and familiar with at least one frontend framework (React, Vue.js, or similar). Experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or others) into production applications. Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP a plus) for deploying, scaling, and operating software. Familiarity with SRE or DevOps practices-monitoring, observability, CI/CD, automation, and basic incident response. Experience with logging and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or similar). Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure, LLM observability, or prompt engineering. Experience participating in on-call rotations or incident management in production environments.

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
