WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE JOB: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer to lead the strategy, design, implementation, and ongoing support of our enterprise identity and access management platforms. This role is critical to the security and efficiency of our IT environment and is responsible for managing all aspects of identity lifecycle, access controls, authentication, and federation across both on-premises and cloud ecosystems.
You will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Active Directory (AD), Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Business-to-Business (B2B) identity integrations, ensuring secure and scalable access for employees, partners, and third parties. The position involves close collaboration with infrastructure, application, security, and business teams to deliver seamless and secure identity experiences that align with organizational policies and compliance requirements.
The work location for this position is 100% virtual/work from home. The position can be worked from anywhere in the United States with core hours starting by 10am EST for a West coast work location.
WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities): * Guide the engineering, design, deployment, and support of identity solutions across AD, Azure AD, SSO, MFA, and B2B\B2C platforms. * Define and enforce IAM policies and standards, including identity lifecycle management, access provisioning/deprovisioning, and governance. * Implement and manage federation and authentication protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect; support identity federation and lifecycle management via SCIM and secure API integrations across enterprise applications and cloud platforms. * Ensure effective integration of IAM services with cloud-based and on-prem applications, supporting Zero Trust security principles. * Manage and optimize identity workflows and user self-service capabilities. * Drive continuous improvements in identity operations, automation, and risk-based access controls. * Collaborate with Security Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams to assess risk and ensure regulatory compliance. * Serve as the IAM technical lead on strategic projects and act as an escalation point for complex identity issues.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (required/minimum qualifications): * Bachelor's degree required*. Equivalent years of experience in IT or related field may substitute for education. * Experience: 10+ years of relevant work experience in information security, IT, or related field * 5+ years in IAM engineering, with deep expertise in Active Directory, Azure AD, SSO, MFA, and B2B identity models. * Proven experience implementing and managing identity federation technologies and protocols. * Strong knowledge of modern identity platforms (e.g., Ping, EntraID, Azure AD B2B/B2C). * General scripting/coding knowledge with efficiencies in SQL, PowerShell, HTML, JavaScript. * Familiarity with identity governance tools and processes (e.g., SailPoint). * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess security and technical risks. * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across technical and business units.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ PAY INFORMATION: The annual salary range for this position is $135K - $150K. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role.

Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. **We will review specific salary information at the time of phone screening based upon your location & experience.**
