Position Overview:

The Wealth
Management Associate Team Lead serves as the subject matter expert for a team
of Relationship Associates. This pivotal
role incorporates all the essential functions and key accountabilities of the
Wealth Management Relationship Associate and the responsibilities listed below.
The person in this role will possess a strong background in administrative
processing, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements
within the Wealth Management group, and act as a subject matter expert on
wealth management systems. A key responsibility includes leading a team of
Wealth Management Relationship Associates, fostering professional development,
and maintaining high standards of operational excellence.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee daily activities and procedures of the Wealth Management Associates, provide guidance, support, and mentorship to the team members, and ensure efficient workflow management and task allocation.
  • Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes.
  • Implement effective onboarding and continuous development programs for team members.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, emphasizing quality and efficiency.
  • Set performance standards, expectations, and accountabilities for the team and provide regular constructive feedback to ensure optimal productivity and achievement of departmental goals.
  • Conduct thorough client analyses for compliance and risk assessment.
  • Regularly interact with clients to assess and meet their banking needs.
  • Perform meticulous system maintenance and transaction analysis.
  • Review, revise and maintain Trust Wealth Management and Trust Administration procedures.
  • Develop and implement internal controls and monitoring tools for quality assurance.
  • Coordinate with various departments to enforce policies and assist in internal audits.
  • Participate and contribute as a SME to project management as required.
  • Ensure high quality service delivery to internal and external clients and handle escalated client issues and complex inquiries ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
  • Maintain expert knowledge in core systems used by Wealth Management.
  • Other duties and special projects as may be assigned.
  • This position may require travel within the Bank's geographic area.


Experience & Education:

  • 5+ years of wealth management administration, operations, compliance or banking experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in establishing quality control measures and developing policy manuals.
  • Proficiency in trust compliance, regulatory requirements, and audit procedures.
  • Proven track record in mentoring, coaching, and training employees.
  • BA/BS/BBA degree, preferably in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting or equivalent work experience.

  • Strong leadership and team
    management skills.

    communication abilities.
  • High proficiency in
    organizational and time management.
  • Advanced skills in policy and
    procedure development.
  • Expertise in trust compliance
    and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficient in various banking
    systems and software (e.g., trust automation systems, Microsoft Office
    Suite).
  • Ability to work independently
    and in a team environment.
  • Skilled in quality control and
    efficiency improvement.
  • Familiarity with risk management
    and internal auditing processes.
  • Capacity to handle multiple
    projects and adapt to new challenges.

  • Flexibility to adapt to system
    upgrades and changing operational needs.
  • Willingness to participate in
    additional training and professional development.
  • Ability to represent the
    department in internal and external meetings effectively.
  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull
    weights or otherwise move objects weighing as much as 10
    lbs. on
    a regular basis and/or for extended periods of time during the workday.
  • Occasional overtime or extended hours may be
    required
