Education Manager

Position Summary:

We are seeking a thoughtful, yet hands on Leader of Education & Training to lead the development and delivery of high-impact training programs for both external customers and internal employees in a fast-paced, dynamic, multisite based company. This role will deliver client education on food safety, laboratory testing, and emerging scientific trends in a manner that meets customer interest and demand while positioning the company as a thought-leader and partner in lab testing. The position will also enhance technical, operational, quality, and leadership capabilities internally by developing internal training programs and tools. The successful candidate will modernize and professionalize our training approach and all materials, ensuring alignment with business priorities and measurable outcomes. Success criteria in this role involves increasing accountability for training completion by making learning accessible and viewed as value-added and high-impact. The position will support key stakeholders in Science & Innovation, Quality, Operations and Human Resources.

Essential Responsibilities:

Training Strategy & Execution

* Design and implement comprehensive training programs for external customers on food safety, lab testing, and innovative scientific methods.

* Develop internal training initiatives focused on technical competencies, quality assurance, and leadership development.

* Rationalize and prioritize training resources to align with the organization's most critical business needs.

Team Leadership

* Lead and mentor a small team of training professionals.

* Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence in training delivery.

Technology & Systems

* Configure and manage a Learning Management System (LMS) to support scalable and sustainable training delivery.

* Build upon the foundation of existing external training offerings and expand the portfolio to meet evolving customer needs.

Content Modernization

* Overhaul existing training materials and methods to ensure they are modern, engaging, and professional.

* Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.

Performance & Analytics

* Develop and maintain a training dashboard with key performance indicators (KPIs) to track completion rates, engagement, and business impact.

* Use data-driven insights to continuously improve training effectiveness and drive accountability.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, Business, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

* 7+ years of experience in training, education, or learning & development, preferably in a scientific or technical environment.

* Proven experience managing training programs for both internal and external audiences.

* Strong understanding of food safety, laboratory testing, and emerging scientific technologies.

* Experience with LMS configuration and management.

* Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

* Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
