Job Summary

Responsible for designing and conducting training programs. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of associate training. Participate in the curricula development and enhancement process. Applies change management methodology to ensure transfer and adoption of training.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Works with customers to translate business requirements into defined training needs including conducting needs analysis and developing learning objectives, scope, audience, timing, delivery method and resource requirements to fulfill training needs within the budget and timeline requirements.

  • Pilots, implements and creates adoption activities to ensure successful transition to future state of processes and use of technology.

  • Applies instructional design and adult learning theory to manage the design, development, implementation and maintenance of assigned training programs which may include instructor led, virtual instructor led, eLearning and blended learning programs.

  • Designs various before, during, and after learning components and works with HR partners, managers, and associates to ensure that knowledge and skills are transferred to the job.

  • Manages program marketing and communications, as well as definition, collection and roll-up of program metrics. Measures and evaluates the effectiveness and ensures achievement of objectives and alignment with business priorities.

  • Drives training program delivery strategy and delivers training programs.

  • Contributes to authoring development standards, processes, and templates to produce consistent, quality instructional materials.

Nature and Scope

  • Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies probvlem solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems. Makes decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produce effecve end results.

  • Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to the results expected. Determines and develops an approach to solutions. Receives technical guidance only on unusula or complex problems or issues.

Work Environment

  • Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.

  • Typically requires overnight travel 20%-50% of the time.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age

  • Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline.

  • Generally 3-5 years' experience in a related field or MA/MS and generally 1-3 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience with eLearning to include industry standard authoring tools (Articulate, Rise, Storyline) and virtual classroom (Adobe Connect).

  • Demonstrated experience with adult learning principles and curriculum design to include classroom and blended solutions and ADDIE process.

  • Project management experience.

  • Proficiency in MS Suite preferred (PowerPoint, MS Teams, Yammer, One Note) are preferred.
