Vehicle Operability and Commissioning Budget Manager

The Operability & Commissioning - Budget Manager [Senior] is primarily responsible for the department budget and Factory management. Along with the entire Operability and Commissioning Team, they will strive to improve vehicle-level operability by promptly identifying and resolving issues and updating vehicles with the latest compatible software configurations.

Responsibilities also include:



  • Budget Management and Fund Transfers
  • Factory Management - Purchased Services and Work Packages
  • Supplier Evaluations
  • Manage External Personnel (1-5)
  • Capex Requests
  • Indirect Budget Management
  • Submit department purchase requisitions (i.e. tools, software, equipment, etc.) and manage purchase orders
  • Workload Analysis
  • Define Workforce Needs
  • Archetype Definition and Management
  • Bulletins - Responses & Tracking
  • Order Tools and Software
  • Develop Quotes
  • Pillar Management
  • Propose Efficiencies
  • Submit Tool Changes to Support new KPI
  • Support O&C Project Status Reports
  • Support Data Analytics and KPI development
  • Readiness Reviews: Maturity, Issues, Compatibility, Workarounds

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree - Electrical, Mechanical, Computer or related degree field.
  • 7 years of experience in electrical/electronics.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Minimum English proficiency at B2 level. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct meetings and working groups in English.
  • General automotive knowledge.
  • Familiarity with industrialization and R&D processes and tools.
  • Experience with developing and managing budgets (i.e. Capex, indirect, travel, program, etc.)
  • Experience with workforce and workload analysis.
  • Excellent proficiency in computer tools (MS Access, Visual Basic, Excel, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts.
  • Knowledge of Software developer foundations - Python, Java Script, HTML, C, C++, etc.
  • Knowledge of usage of electrical debugging tools (e.g., digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, CAN diagnostic tools, CDA, Dianalyzer, Inca,
  • current probes).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Basic knowledge of software and modeling concepts.
  • Independent leader and self-starter, focused on triage and synthesis.
  • Ability to work well with a team of experts.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Software developer foundations - Python, Java Script, HTML, C, C++, etc.
  • Proficiency in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts.
  • Certified problem-solving skills (Reactive Quality Green Belt or Reactive Quality Black Belt).
