Summary: The Digital Onboarding Product Owner is responsible for creating a premier onboarding experience for prospects and members alike. This role oversees digital products that allow new memberships and loans for consumer and commercial prospects. In addition to onboarding prospects, this role supports existing members in expanding their relationship with the credit union through additional deposit and lending products.

Key Responsibilities



  • Manage projects and vendors related to current digital applications using Agile methodology, ensuring iterative delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and alignment with strategic priorities
  • Recommend and manage budget related to onboarding enhancements and upgrades; review and confirm invoices; balancing member needs, expense and internal growth goals.
  • Own the end-to-end digital onboarding experience across platforms ensuring a seamless, intuitive journey for prospects and members
  • Serve as primary escalation point for major service issues and degradations; engaging third party providers to ensure Point of Sale systems and support applications are operating as expected
  • Manage regular cadence of UX and platform updates to ensure accessibility, security, and regulatory compliance across solutions
  • Define and communicate clear vision for digital onboarding experience that accounts for prospective membership and lending, and digital onboarding for commercial for retail and commercial
  • Design and optimize onboarding workflows that reduce friction, increase conversion rates, and deliver an engaging experience that delights new and existing members
  • Utilize data driven approach to identify opportunities for member experience that rivals top-tier digital brands
  • Coordinate with AVP, Digital Experience and Chief Experience Officer to create and maintain long-term roadmap for integrations and end-user functionality
  • Monitor market trends, member behavior, and regulatory shifts to ensure onboarding systems and workflows are of the highest standards
  • Introduce new solutions or partners that will better enable execution of responsibilities. This will also include creating business cases and ROI analysis for new solutions.
  • Champion culture of collaboration and teamwork that values transparency, respect, and problem-solving across diverse stakeholders
  • Work with stakeholders to create campaigns that increase awareness and adoption
  • Continue technical professional development through seminars, workshops, membership in technical and professional organizations, and through reading technical publications and journals. Network with others in the credit union industry and interface with vendors
  • Maintain certification requirements and work towards acquiring new certifications as required
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Measurements



  • Monitor KPIs such as conversion rate, completion rates, time-to-book, automation statistics, and member satisfaction to inform product strategy
  • Contribute to Digital Experience dashboard to create visibility of metrics across the organization
  • Track member retention and product adoption post-onboarding to assess long-term relationship growth


Additional: Responsible for completion of applicable training and compliance on federal regulations and APGFCU policies and procedures as related to the duties of this position (Bank Secrecy Act, Information Security as examples, if applicable).

Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field is required.
  • Experience can be credited in lieu of education.
  • Specialized training pertaining to the system in place.
  • Product Owner certification preferred.
  • Four to six years of experience with a financial institution required. Education may be substituted in lieu of experience. Proven collaborator between business and technical areas. Strong understanding of member banking relationships, products, and digital banking solutions. 2 years' experience in digital product.


Compensation information: Offers are based on experience and education.

$69,784.00 - $87,214.40 annually
