Help keep the systems and equipment at Duke's Hospitals and Clinics running smoothly, reliably, and at the highest standard. Responsibilities: Perform all levels of work in the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and equipment within Duke Hospital and Clinic facilities in accordance with pertinent local, state, and federal electrical codes and regulatory requirements. Work Arrangement: On-Site Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $21.20 to USD $35.05. Duke University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills; internal peer equity; as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. PREFERENCES HS graduate or equivalent with minimum of 4 years HVAC experience to include installation, maintenance and repair work. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education Work requires an educational background normally equivalent to high school with course work in skilled crafts. Experience Work requires 4 years of broad-based experience in: Changing small refrigeration appliances, changing compressors, belts and valves; and adjusting and calibrating temperature and humidity controls.
