ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees maintenance of Construction and ROW machinery and equipment including trucks, bucket trucks, digger trucks, chippers, mulchers, etc.
- Schedules and directs routine maintenance of equipment
- Coordinates and schedules the transport of spare equipment to job sites as needed
- Establishes and executes equipment maintenance program to deliver high equipment reliability
- Advises management on remaining life of equipment and adequate spare equipment to support operations
- Supervises mechanics to maintain reliability of field equipment including preventive maintenance and repair, logistics management, fabrication, yard/warehouse operations and anything related to keeping our field crews running safely and efficiently.
- Manages equipment rentals to provide crews with the equipment needed when company equipment is unavailable and ensures that returns are made in a timely manner and in compliance with the rental agreements.
- Procures parts and supplies as they relate to regular shop operations and provides budget recommendations for fleet operations.
- Coordinates with authorized dealers, vendors, contractor's to secure equipment and vehicles.
- Monitors warranty usage for entire fleet and arranges for repair work according to warranty guidelines and recalls.
- The ability to handle stress and work well with others are essential functions of this position.
- Due to our obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to our customers, the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and the ability to work outside your regularly scheduled office hours when necessary is an essential function of the job.
- Maintain awareness of and compliance with applicable laws and regulations from various regulatory entities, internal policies, procedures, and directives. Ensure ongoing monitoring and timely incorporation of any changes to maintain adherence to compliance standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Production Management, Business Administration or related field, plus at least 8 years total related experience, including 5 years management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver's license, Forklift Operator Certification, Crane Operator Certification and DOT Inspection Certification including air brakes.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
CDL Class "A" license. CPR and First Aid Training preferred.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Must be on-call 24 hours a day in case of emergencies. Must be able to travel throughout the Construction/ROW Department's service area and stay overnight. Must have general mechanical knowledge of vehicles used within the Construction/ROW department. Must have working knowledge of: OSHA safety regulations, National Electric Safety Code, and all other national safety codes, State and local labor regulations. In pursuant of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to AECC/ AECI standards and processes.
