Job Summary

We're looking for a wildly imaginative Preschool Art Teacher to lead our Messy Art and Parent/Child Art classes for ages 2-3! If you love glitter, fingerpaint, and giggles - and aren't afraid of a little chaos - you might be the perfect fit. Join our team and help young imaginations run wild-one paint-splattered masterpiece at a time!

What You'll Do:

  • Plan & lead fun, hands-on, (sometimes messy!) art classes
  • Use a wide range of materials to spark creativity
  • Create a safe, playful, welcoming space for kids and their grown-ups
  • Research & design innovative art projects

Who You Are:

  • Passionate about early childhood creativity
  • Comfortable with mess and mini artists
  • Great with both kids and parents

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Good communication skills are required.
  • Ability to interact courteously with the public.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated good judgement in problem solving and responding to customer needs.
  • Proficiency in standard computer software.

Qualifications

  1. One Year of experience working with preschool/youth.
  2. Must be at least 18 years of age.
  3. Must have or be able to obtain first aid/CPR certification by start date.
  4. Must successfully complete a thorough background check as required by the Child/Adult Abuse Information Act.

Work conditions & Physical Activities:

Work is performed in an indoor setting at the North Kirkland Community Center with high levels o fnoise. Must be able to walk, climb, bend, and stoop to complete tasks.

Hour of Work

Schoolyear position starting in September 2025.Tuesday from 9:1Sam-11:30am. Additional hours may be offered for other daytime preschool programs as needed.
