Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Director to lead and manage key financial processes for our Health Systems & Government Services (HGS) business segment. This role will involve close collaboration with accounting and various senior business leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting, strategic planning, and effective financial management. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the close process by working closely with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for Health Systems business.

  • Oversee the estimate process, providing insights and guidance to support financial forecasting and planning.

  • Direct the MBR processes, ensuring that key performance indicators are tracked and analyzed.

  • Lead the development and execution of the annual plan and long-range planning processes, aligning financial goals with business objectives.

  • Collaborate with business leaders on sales team compensation, including payment calculations and target development, to drive performance.

  • Track and report on revenue, gross profit, operating expenses (opex), capital expenditures (capex), and headcount for HGS solutions and business.

  • Serve as a dedicated and strategic business partner to leaders, providing recommendations and guidance on financial matters.

  • Monitor and report on the financial impacts of projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.

  • Assist in the development of capital expenditure requests, ensuring thorough analysis and justification.

  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.

  • Provide support for any ad hoc financial projects or requests as needed, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills.

  • Prepare and present monthly financial analysis to leadership, highlighting key insights and recommendations for decision-making.

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is required. Ideal background includes 8-12 years' progressive corporate FP&A experience.

  • Management experience.

  • MBA or CPA preferred.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Outstanding knowledge of data analysis, data mining tools, including data warehouse applications, MS Excel, and other business intelligence and reporting tools.

  • Fundamental knowledge of plan development, productivity and profitability analysis.

  • Ability to perform fact-based analytical techniques.

  • Working knowledge of financial and planning software packages

  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently

  • Demonstrates initiative and has a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines

  • Able to work on multiple projects

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills

  • Excellent problem solving skills and sound judgment

  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
