Our Functional Area

Trusted Technology at White & Case plays a key role in enabling our lawyers in practicing law around the world.

Our team comprises of three functions: Business Services - who maintain, develop and support our enterprise systems, Operations - who design, build and support our communications and data center operations, and Support Services - who provide desktop, meeting and training support in the Firm's offices. Together we support our lawyers with leading edge technology and systems to deliver elite legal and best-in-class client service.

Globally minded, our team covers a range of technical disciplines and business skill sets. This encompasses business analysts, data architects, application developers and engineering staff covering range of technologies that include virtualization, cloud, networking, storage, collaboration services and security. We deploy the latest technology and hardware within our state-of-the-art offices. Our technical support staff support and train our people on the latest hardware and operating systems, remote working capability and mobile devices. Our Shared Services center provide Service Desk and Operation Centers that providing support and monitoring of Firm systems 24 x 7.

Working closely with our business services colleagues in support of the Firm's Finance, HR, Marketing, Practice Solutions, Global Technology Services is at the heart of the Firm's global operations.

Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of large, complex technological initiatives with a focus on innovation, artificial intelligence (AI), and enterprise data management & migration, SharePoint Online migration and M365 ecosystem. This role plays a critical part in advancing strategic priorities through the adoption of emerging technologies and modernized data practices.

The Project Manager oversees all phases of the project lifecycle, applying structured methodologies to coordinate resources, manage interdependencies, and ensure timely, on-budget execution. The role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, alignment with business objectives, and proactive risk and issue management to drive measurable outcomes.

Duties and Accountabilities1

  • Lead the planning and execution of projects related to enterprise data strategy, data governance, system migration, and the implementation of AI-driven technologies

  • Manage end-to-end migration efforts from SharePoint on-premises to SharePoint Online, including site architecture planning, content migration, permissions mapping, and stakeholder adoption

  • Drive the implementation of M365 ecosystem products such as Copilot, Forms, Planner Premium, and other collaboration tools to support digital transformation

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations throughout the project lifecycle

  • Proactively identify risks, interdependencies, and constraints, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure delivery success, while maintaining a clear focus on project objectives and deliverables

  • Drive stakeholder engagement and alignment, collaborating closely with Technology leadership, Product Managers, Technical Leads, and Business Sponsors

  • Ensure that project objectives reflect the Firm's innovation strategy and data-driven priorities

  • Track and report on project performance, budget, milestones, and benefits realization

  • Facilitate operational readiness planning, including the development of support models, training, and documentation

  • Lead stakeholder engagement efforts, ensuring effective communication and adoption strategies are in place for successful change management

  • Lead the post-implementation evaluation of projects to gather insights on performance, adoption, and areas for continuous improvement

  • Champion the use of modern PMO tools and templates, while continuously evolving practices to support emerging technologies and complex business needs

Qualifications

  • PMP certification required; Agile/Scrum certification a plus

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Technology, Data Science, or a related field

  • At least seven (7) years of project management experience with a demonstrated ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional efforts

  • Strong background in AI-related initiatives, data lifecycle management, or digital innovation programs

  • Proven experience delivering enterprise data migration strategies, SharePoint Online deployments, and M365 product implementations

  • Hands-on experience managing complex technical projects involving system migrations, cloud technologies, or data platforms

  • Excellent stakeholder communication, engagement, and change leadership skills

  • Proficiency in project planning tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and experience with Office 365 and Microsoft Azure platforms

Location and Reporting

  • This role is based in our Tampa Office.
  • This role reports to the Senior Manager, Portfolio Operations
