The Role in Brief:

Research Operations Specialist

As an integral member of the Research Operations team, the Specialist will gain experience and expertise in business operations at EAB. The Specialist will serve an important role both internally and externally as a liaison, project manager, information resource, and key point of contact.

This opportunity is based in Washington, DC.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Act as an internal and external liaison for EAB Research
  • Manage internal ops initiatives alongside Director of Research Operations, including Research project tracking and reporting, support of division onboarding and L&D, and setting key messages & strategy for Research teams
  • Support external, mission-critical projects such as Advisory Councils and quality assurance strategy and scheduling
  • Coordinate logistics for team and department meetings and events, such as all staff and in-day events
  • Serve as Research's knowledge management expert, including maintaining of division org charts and listservs, ownership of Research subscription accounts, and ownership of division-wide Wiki and Box resource hubs
  • Support some department budgeting such as subscriptions, engagement spending, and department conference attendance
  • Collaborate across teams and divisions to provide high-quality, seamless internal customer service
  • Maintain multiple executives' calendars
  • Update and manage Excel trackers and Salesforce dashboards used by leadership
  • Other administrative duties and special projects



Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree with an excellent academic record
  • Minimum of 1-2+ years of work experience
  • Comfort with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Enthusiasm for exploring capabilities of ChatGPT
  • Experience with at least two of the following:


    • Project management, including creating project plans, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple, competing projects and priorities
    • Collaborating with team members and department leaders to achieve short- and long-term goals
    • Analytical thinking skills




Ideal Qualifications:



  • Experience with solution-focused problem solving and prioritization
  • Proven ability to upward manage executive-level colleagues
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, in both oral and written formats
  • Proven ability to accomplish tasks and activities efficiently and prioritize according to importance
  • Proven ability to take initiative on process improvement
  • Familiarity with Salesforce
  • Commitment to embracing a continual learning environment and contributing to a dynamic and welcoming culture of fairness, authenticity, and belonging in support of EAB's mission, values, and aspiration.

Compensation:

The anticipated starting salary (base) range for this role is $50,000 - $55,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.

This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, such as individual and organizational performance.
