What you will be doing: Support the Executive Chef in leading the daily operations of the banquet kitchens Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues Lead and supervise the quality of the food offered, as well as coordinate production Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions in daily shift briefings Maintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilage and ensure storeroom requisitions are accurate Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment Follow and enforce all kitchen policies, procedures and service standards Follow and enforce all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage Create unforgettable culinary experiences for our guests Qualifications Your experience and skills include: Service focused personality is essential and previous leadership experience required Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills Communicate thoughts, actions and opportunities clearly with strong networking skills Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance Previous experience with a Union environment is an asset EcoSure Managers Certification and City of Chicago Managers Certification Additional Information Salary:Subject to experience and qualifications, salary range $65,000 - $75,000 per year Visa Requirements: Successful candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
