ABOUT THIS ROLE

St. Michael's is hiring a Contract Specialist to support a Department of Defense (DoD) client. As the Contract Specialist, you will prepare documentation in support of contract de-obligations and closeouts, pre-priced task/delivery orders, and option exercises. You will be in a client-facing role that will benefit from your prior experience, and expertise with DoD contracting. Our core value of Teamwork will be paramount to this role as you will advise department leadership and the contracting workforce on PDS validation errors.

WHO YOU ARE



  • Active Secret Clearance
  • 5 years' experience as a warranted or non-warranted 1102 series contract specialist or equivalent duties.
  • DAWIA Certification in the Contracting Professional Career Field (or FAC-C or industry equivalent).
  • Experience in the Standard Procurement System (SPS)/ Procurement Desktop Defense (PD2) database.
  • Proficiency and/or experience with computer system related tools, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat DC/Professional, and Microsoft SharePoint (2010 or higher).
  • Experience with the Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS), System for Award Management (SAM), beta. SAM, GSA, and other compliance/ processing/ reporting systems for assisting the COMNAVSPEC WARCOM Contracting Office
  • Experience with various military types of funding and well versed in all types of contracts.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Oversee, from a functional perspective, the creation of Procurement Data Standards (PDS) compliant contract actions within the Standard Procurement System (SPS).
  • Advise department leadership and the contracting workforce on PDS validation errors.
  • Prepare modifications for the department where needed to ensure PDS compliant contract actions and prepare for future SPS transition from Procurement Desktop - Defense (PD2) to Enterprise Contract Writing System (ECWS).
  • Review and process customer-submitted Procurement Request (PR) packages for contract execution.
  • Draft all required contractual documentation to prepare a contract action for Contracting Officer (KO) review and award.
  • Prepare contract de-obligation and closeout actions for the department as needed.
  • Prepare any administrative corrective actions necessary to support the SPS transition from Procurement Desktop - Defense (PD2) to Enterprise Contract Writing Module (ECWM).


COMPENSATION:As required by applicable law, St. Michael's Inc. provides reasonable pay ranges for positions based on labor market conditions in locations where compensation transparency is required. The base pay range for this position is $90,000 to $105,000. Final compensation may vary depending on geographic location, relevant skills, experience, and other job-related factors. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, based on company and individual performance.
